PURPOSE: To monitor a voice output during recording by amplifying a voice from a microphone part, recording it at a recording/ reproducing part, manually operating the instruction part of an output device and turning a voice output switch on.

CONSTITUTION: When a recording operation is selected by an instruction part 8, an input instruction is inputted to a control part 7, under this control a voice from a microphone part 1 is made to a specified level by an amplifying part 2 and recorded on a recording medium at a recording/reproducing part 3. In such a way, a voice output switch 6 is turned on by the input of the instruction part 8, a voice being recorded is outputted from a PA system connected to an output device 5 and monitored during recording. When the switch 6 is turned off by the input of the instruction part 8, an output from the PA system is prohibited during recording and the generation of a howling phenomenon is prevented. Further, when the voice output switch 6 is set to be automatically turned off, recording is made in the condition that a PA system voice is cut, the switch 6 is manually turned on when necessary and the recording is monitored.
