Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable to convert characters automatically and correctly, which are different in pronounciation and description, by converting a Kana (Japanese syllabary) obtained through the recognition of sound into a code train representing a mixture of Kana and Kanji (Chinese character) through the collation of a word dictionary and a grammer dictionary. CONSTITUTION:When the operator utters ''Watashiwa (Japanese syllabary)'' for an sound input section, voice is recognized 11 and a Kana code train is applied to a grammer analyzer 12. The analyzer 12 takes matching between this Kana code train with each entry of a word dictionary 13, and ''Wa (Japanese syllabary) (A)'', ''Wata(B)'', ''Watashi(C)'', and ''Wata(D)'' are picked up as candidates. Next, the grammatical propriety can be checked by referencing a grammatical dictionary 14. In case of ''Wa(A)'', since the next Kana code is (Ta) (Japanese syllabary), the element is checked, the auxiliary verb (Ta) can not be connected, and it is known that (A Ta) is not correct. Similarly, the grammatical properity is checked as to remaining condidates and the result of conversion as (C Wa) can be obtained.
