Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a voltage controlled oscillator which is not affected by power noise so much, by specifying the number of amplification stages and total phase shifts in a frequency which is previously set. CONSTITUTION: Four differential amplifier stages 10, 12, 14 and 16 connected to a loop are provided. When power is supplied, the oscillators are designed to generate the sine differential signals of small amplitude. This is to set the total phase shift of the loop, namely, the phase shift between output V4 and input V0 to be 360 degrees. The individual differential amplification stages are designed to give output signal phases shifted from the input signals by 45 degrees in the desired frequency and to possess a small signal gain larger than one in the desired frequency. Thus, the fluctuation of power similarly affects both inputs by designing the individual stages to receive and supply the differential signals. Thus, influence to the differential signals becomes minimum. Consequently, the influence of the noise of power can be reduced.
