Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a less amount of power loss, by converting a high voltage AC into a low voltage DC through condensers, with the constitution of circuit so made that the condensers may be connected in series for a route of charge and in parallel for a route of discharge. CONSTITUTION:When a terminal P1 is at a positive level, condensers C1, C2, with their capacities selected to be made equal, are charged through diodes D1, D3. If an input ginusoidal wave voltage is above E1/2, across terminals l1 and P2 appears a voltage equal to the input voltage, and if below E1/2, appears a voltage of E1/2. And for the load, a current is supplied through a diode D4 from the terminal l1 on one hand and through a transistor Q1 from a terminal l2 on the other hand. And for the power source voltage becoming less than a level of E1/2, a current is supplied from the condenser C1 through the transistor Q1. In such may as made a conversion by the condensers from AC to DC, a relatively big level of DC current can be provided with a less amount of power loss for an operation of conversion.
