Abstract:
The method involves identifying structural and non structural pixels in image data by analyzing the data in two and three dimensions. The image data are additionally processed in two dimensions based on the identification of the structural and non-structural pixels. The structural pixels are identified relative to the amplitude value of gradient calculated from three-dimensional data and to the direction value of gradient calculated from two-dimensional data.
