Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a vortex flowmeter which can hardly be affected by pipelines.
CONSTITUTION: Streamline-shaped projections 3 elongated along the upstream side wall surface 1a of a flow tube 2 are installed to the surface 2a of a vortex generating body 2 which is joined to the tube wall 1a of the tube 1. Since horseshoe-shaped vortexes generated on the upstream side of the vortex generating body 2 are eliminated by means of the projections 3, the influence of the horseshoe-shaped vortexes which are largely affected by pipelines are eliminated and a vortex flowmeter which can hardly be affected by pipelines is obtained.
