Abstract:
To provide a vortex ring generator that allows for retrofitting an existing vortex ring generator, suppresses air turbulence in a discharge part and also increases a speed of jet blowing from the discharge part, which can extend a range of blow of a vortex ring.SOLUTION: A vortex ring generator 100 has a rectifying part 218 between a volume varying part 212 to vary an air chamber volume inside a cylinder 210 and a discharge part 211 to emit a vortex ring. In the rectifying part 218, the disturbed airflow is rectified into a fixed direction, leading to reduced unevenness of the airflow supplied to the discharge part 211. The rectifying part 218 also narrows the channel, increasing a flow rate of fluid supplied to the discharge part 211. As a result, a turning component of fluid in the discharge part 211 is intensified, and the speed of jet blowing is increased, resulting in an extended range of blow of the vortex ring.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
