To provide a voting supporting method and a system for the same for receiving any of an exercise of the right to vote by using a communication network such as the Internet, an exercise of the right to vote by mailing a document, and an exercise of the right to vote by attending a stockholder's meeting and for preventing double exercise of the right to vote by using a plurality of means.
Approval or disapproval vote in writing accepted by stock issuing companies 1-1-1-n or a stock agency company is registered as data in a processing center 3. The processing center 3 accepts the approval or disapproval vote from stockholders 5-1-5-n for registration through the communication network 6, and confirms existence of double vote in relation to one right to vote on the basis of the registered approval or disapproval vote.
