Abstract:
To enable wakefulness effect to continue for a long time.SOLUTION: A wakefulness maintaining device includes: a stimulus controlling unit 203 for making a stimulus unit generate a wakefulness stimulus as a stimulus for maintaining a driver's wakefulness; and a notification controlling unit 202 for performing notification to the driver. The stimulus controlling unit 203 can change a generation mode of the wakefulness stimulus, and changes the generation mode of the wakefulness stimulus in synchronism with the start of notification by the notification controlling unit 202. Thus, even when the wakefulness stimulus has been continuing, the driver easily directs attention to the wakefulness stimulus so that the driver's habituation to the wakefulness stimulus is suppressed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
