Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a floor reaction force by a walking assist device for assisting walking, in the walking assist device.SOLUTION: A walking assist device relating to the invention comprises a control unit that executes: floor reaction force estimation processing of estimating left and right floor reaction forces by the walking assist device, on the basis of left and right floor reaction forces by a user's body which are detected by a floor reaction force detection unit, a floor reaction force of the user's body in a static state and a weight of the walking assist device; and assist processing of calculating an assist force to be applied to a joint of a leg part, on the basis of the left and right floor reaction forces by the walking assist device which are calculated in the floor reaction force estimation processing, and applying the assist force to an actuator provided at the joint of the leg part.
