Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking exercise apparatus which reduces impact on legs and mitigates a load on joints of the legs when a user takes walking exercise by placing a plate-like cushion member between a back side of a traveling belt and a supporting plate for supporting the belt.SOLUTION: In a walking exercise apparatus which is configured by winding a traveling belt around rotating rollers and making the traveling belt travel by an electric motor in order that a user takes exercise by walking on the traveling belt, a cushion member made of a cushioning material and a slip sheet that is made of a low friction material and is superposed on the cushion member are placed between a supporting plate that supports the traveling belt on the back side and the belt. The impact applied on a leg that steps on can be reduced in taking walking exercise on the traveling belt.
