Abstract:

To start an engine of a walking type work car for operating starting cable of an engine recoil start device on the rear side of machine by surely cutting a main clutch.

An operation knob 22 of a starting cable 21 of a recoil start device 20 is supported by a holder 23. The holder 23 and a main clutch lever 11 are disposed such that the main clutch lever 11 is positioned right before the operation knob 22 supported by the holder 23 when a main clutch CL is entered. An interlocking mechanism 26 with the recoil start device 20 and the main clutch CL is formed by an oscillation link 24 on which the engine starting cable 21 is held and a coupling member 25 coupling this oscillation link 24 to the main clutch lever 11 and the main clutch CL is automatically cut when the recoil start device 20 is operated with the main clutch CL being in.
