To provide a wallpaper starching machine which can easily perform internal work such as scraping out of glue in a glue tub without soiling a periphery by dropping of the glue stuck on a surface of a starching roll even when the glue tub is a lower body structure integrated type.
A starching machine main body is provided with a lower body structure where the glue tub is installed and an upper body structure which is installed so as to be openable and closable to the lower body structure. A sheet-shaped wall decorating material is drawn-in from a rear part of the starching machine main body, the glue in the glue tub is continuously transferred and applied onto a rear surface of the wall decorating material by the starching roll while sending the wall decorating material forwards. In this wallpaper starching machine, a starching roll supporting means for supporting the starching roll which is pivotally supported attachably and detachably to both left and right side plates of the glue tub or to a shaft bearing plate being parallel thereto at a using position where the glue is transferred and applied in a state where the upper body structure is open to the lower body structure and an upper opening of the glue tub is exposed at a standby position being a side rearer than the using position and above the glue tub opening is further provided.
