To provide a garbage vacuum dryer which saves a start-up heat quantity for preparing operation when in use for a half-day operation and half-day inaction way of a garbage drying treatment.

A warmth retaining means of the warm water type garbage vacuum dryer is set. That is, (d) A period between a charging point A and a discharging point B is an operation time Ha; a period between the discharging point B and the charging point A is an inaction time Hb; a point C of turning off electricity for heating warm water is set at the discharging point B; a period between the point C of turning off electricity for heating and a point E of turning on electricity for heating is a warmth retaining time Hc; and a period between the point E of turning on electricity for heating and the charging point A is a start-up time Ht, and (e) a time for warming water Hp, which is the sum of the start-up time Ht and the operation time Ha, is calculated so that the point C of turning off electricity for heating and the point E of turning on electricity for heating are automatically constituted.
