PURPOSE: To obtain a pollution-free, inexpensive adhesive useful for temporal tacking among members, by neutralizing with a base a copolymer-from acrylic acid, a hydroxyalkyl acrylate, aminoalkyl methacrylate and acrylic alkylamide.

CONSTITUTION: This warm water-washable liquid adhesive with a water/water- compatible organic solvent as the solvent contains, as the chief component, a copolymer from acrylic acid, a hydroxyalkyl acrylate of formula H2C= CHCOOR (R is a 1-10C hydroxyalkyl), an aminoalkyl methacrylate of formula H2C=C(CH3)COOR1N(R2)R3 (R1 is a 1-10C alkyl; R2 and R3 are each H or a 1-10C alkyl; aminoalkyl group is primary, secondary or tertiary), and an acrylic alkylamide of formula H2C=CHCONHR4 (R4 is a 1-10C alkyl), and is obtained by neutralizing ≥80% of this copolymer with an inorganic or organic base. This copolymer has a glass transition temperature of 40 100°C and a molecular weight of 50000-100000. Furthermore, this adhesive may be incorporated with rosin, gelatin, a polysaccharide linear polymer or ionomer, etc.
