To provide a method for cultivating high-quality Japanese horseradish in a short time.SOLUTION: A method for cultivating Japanese horseradish in an indoor facility is provided, including a growing step in which, with the rhizomes of a seedling of Japanese horseradish being immersed in a nutritious liquid, artificial light is applied for circulation of the nutritious liquid, causing the rhizomes to grow. Here, the temperature of the indoor facility is set to 20°C or higher and the temperature of the nutritious liquid is set to 16°C or lower.SELECTED DRAWING: None
