PURPOSE: To energize a pump and blow off a washing liquid at the time of operation of a switch in the housed position of a wiper blade and thereafter drive a wiper, by providing a prescribed contact mechanism, a control circuit having a delay circuit, etc.

CONSTITUTION: A rotary member 19, which is rotated with a play of almost one rotation as against a driving shaft 14 coupled to a link mechanism for driving wiper arms 2R, 2L, is provided with moving contacts 19A, 19D which constitute a wiper arm housed position stop switch and a washer pump shifting switch. A control circuit 24 having a delay circuit, a washer pump driving circuit, etc. is provided. When a washer switch 26 is closed in the housed position of the wiper arms 2R, 2L, washer pumps 6-1, 6-2 are actuated for a time corresponding to the play of almost one rotation of the driving shaft 14 during a lag time to blow off a washing liquid. A wiper motor 8 is thereafter energized to drive wiper blades 3R, 3L.
