To improve washing power with a higher foaming capacity of soaps and detergents by a method wherein weaving yarn composed of polyester and polyethylene at the same proportion is woven in towels and specified sheets of the fabrics thus obtained are piled up to be sewn at the peripheral part thereof.

In fabric 1a, the weaving yarn thereof is a chemical fiber composed of 50% of polyester and 50% of polyethylene and the fabric is made stretchable along the length thereof by weaving the yarn in towels. The fabric also has a high resistance to alkali, a high foaming capacity, a quick rinsing performance or the like in nature. Eight sheets of the fabric 1a are piled up and cut out to a size of a palm 16cm long and 10cm wide to form the body 1 of washing cloth by sewing at the periphery part thereof. With the piling up of the eight sheets of the fabric 1a, the washing cloth 1 thus obtained can restrict the extension thereof while the degree of stretching thereof can be suppressed by minimizing the interval of weaving seams. Thus, the body 1 of the washing cloth is simple to rinse with better vanishing of double thereby accomplishing a washing treatment without leaving soap components and detergent components and a prolonged use thereof eventually.
