A wireless IC tag 2 is stuck on the washed and dried object 1; data are read from the tag 2 by a reading means 3; information including the number of the objects 1 is acquired, and stored in a storage means; and the total number of the washed and dried objects existing in the machine 10 is computed from the information. The data are re-read from the tag 2 by the provided reading means 3 after the washed and dried object is subjected to washing and drying treatment and taken out; a difference between the data and the total number of the washed and dried objects is obtained; the at least one washed and dried object corresponding to the difference is detected; and a notification means 9 provides instructions to remove the at least one washed and dried object 1.
