To improve the maintainability of a heat pump unit in a washing and drying machine provided with the heat pump unit.
The washing and drying machine includes: a water tank 40 for storing water used in a washing operation; a water supply path (water supply route) 30 for supplying the water inside the water tank 40 into a housing chamber 10 in the washing operation; the heat pump unit 20 with a refrigerant circuit comprising at least a compressor 21, a heat radiator 22, a capillary tube (pressure reduction device) 23 and a heat sink 24; and an air circulation route 50 for discharging air successively heat-exchanged with the heat sink 24 and the heat radiator 22 into the housing chamber 10 and heat-exchanging the air which has passed through the housing chamber 10 with the heat sink 24 again. The water tank 40 is arranged on the back surface side of the lower part of a main body B, and the heat pump unit 20 is arranged on the front surface side of the lower part of the main body B.
