To provide a washing and drying machine capable of improving the efficiency of dehumidification when removing moisture from humid hot air discharged from a washing and dewatering tub in a drying step and utilizing a mechanism provided in the washing and drying machine without complicating a structure for that.
A water tub 2 is freely swingably disposed inside an outer box 1, the washing and dewatering tub 4 having a rotary blade 3 at the bottom part is freely rotatably disposed inside the water tub 2, and hot air supply means for supplying hot air into the washing and dewatering tub 4 during a drying operation is provided. Water supply means for supplying dehumidification water for condensing and recovering the moisture evaporated from laundry is provided, and a water discharge mechanism is provided on the bottom part 2a of the water tub 2. During the drying operation, the dehumidification water supplied from the water supply means is stored in a water storage space 15 between the bottom part of the water tub 2 and the bottom surface of the washing and dewatering tub 4 and continuously or intermittently discharged and dehumidification is directly performed with the water in the water storage space 15.
