A washing and drying machine has a bubble generation estimating function for estimating the state of bubble generation in a washing tub during washing. Based on the estimation result on the state of bubble generation, the rotational speed of a blowing blade of a blower is increased in an air supply unit for supplying air into the washing tub through an air flow passage as more bubbles are estimated to be generated. Thereby, bubbles can be effectively prevented from entering the air flow passage according to the state of bubble generation. Since the entry of bubbles is prevented without using a bubble stopping structure, the structure is not complicated, so that a cost increase can be avoided.
