To provide a washing and drying machine which can effectively wet laundry in a rotary drum right after the start of the supply of washing water and simultaneously warm the laundry, and thereby can shorten a washing period of time.

In the washing and drying machine which comprises: a washing tub 2 supported in an outer casing 1; and a rotary drum 3 which rotates inside of the washing tub 2 on the same axis, a water supply nozzle 54 is provided midway in an introduction duct 61 for introducing dry air inside of the rotary drum 3, and further the water supply nozzle 54 is provided midway of a water supply path of the washing water so as to communicate with the water supply path through an auxiliary water supply pipe 53. At the start of the supply of the washing water, the washing water is supplied into the introduction duct 61 through the auxiliary water supply pipe 53 and the water supply nozzle 54, also a blower fan 70 and a heater 72 are driven to flow warm air produced by heating induced wind of the blower fan 70 with the heater 72 into the introduction duct 61, and the washing water from the water supply nozzle 54 is fed inside of the rotary drum 3 through an introduction port 65 provided at the end of the introduction duct 61 together with the warm air.
