To provide a washing and drying machine which removes lint (yarn waste) deposited on an outer surface of a washing/dehydrating bin, an inner surface of an outer tank and the like after a drying step, and reduces the deposition of lint on clothing in a next operation.
In the washing and drying machine which comprises: a washing/dehydrating bin for storing clothing therein; an outer tank for accommodating the washing/dehydrating bin therein; a driving device for rotatably driving the washing/dehydrating bin; a housing for supporting the outer tank; water supply means for supplying water into the outer tank; a drain passage for discharging water from the inside of the outer tank; and a drain valve for opening/closing the drain passage, and has a washing step, a rinsing step, a dehydrating step and a drying step, the washing and drying machine supplies water into the outer tank by using the water supply means in a state that the drain valve is closed, and drives the washing/dehydrating bin in a state that water is stored in the outer tank, after the finish of the drying step and before a washing course, a washing/drying course or a drying course, which is started next to the drying step.
