To provide a washing/drying machine which enables an efficient a heat exchange with circulation air at the time of the drying operation, and also, the consumption amount of water is reduced, and in addition, a period of time required for the drying operation is shortened.

A water chamber 12 having a slit 15 is provided in a dehumidifying pipe 4 in order to perform the heat exchange with the circulation air having a high temperature and a high humidity at the time of the drying operation. Since a proper amount of cooling water required for the heat exchange with the circulation air is fed into the dehumidifying pipe 4 from the slit 15, the heat exchange is efficiently performed. Since water in a tank 7 is utilized as the cooling water by circulating the water in the tank 7, water can be saved at the time of the drying operation. In addition, by properly using the cooling water depending on the operation status of the drying operation, the drying efficiency is increased, so that an the drying operation time is shortened.
