The washing liquid sensor comprises a high-frequency generation means 14 connecting a pair of sensing electrodes 11 and 12 to be dipped in the washing liquid to the secondary side of an insulated transformer 13 and connected to a coil of the primary side of the insulated transformer, a parallel resonance impedance measurement means 15 to measure the value of resistance from its output, and a parallel resonance impedance variation means 16 to measure a variation in the value of resistance, and has a disconnection sensing means 30 to sense a disconnection in the secondary side connection of the insulated transformer, and is designed to distinguish between a high value of resistance at the time of disconnection and a high value of resistance due to freshwater.
