To provide a washing machine control system, preventing deterioration of finishing quality of washings due to wrinkles left in dried clothes by inhibiting end of spin-drying before a television program in the process of watching is ended in the case of washing while watching the television program.
This washing machine control system includes: a television set 200 as a video device having a program end time obtaining part for obtaining the program end time T1 when the program in the process of watching is ended, a spin-drying start information generating part for determining the spin-drying start time T3 in a washing machine 300 in consideration of the spin-drying time t1 in the washing machine 300 from the program end time T1, and generating the spin-drying start information based upon the spin-drying start time T3, and a transmssion/reception part for transmitting the spin-drying start information to the washing machine; and the washing machine 300 having a washing/spin-drying part, a transmit and receive part for receiving the dewatering start information and a control part for causing the washing/spin-drying part to start spin-drying based upon the spin-drying start information transmitted from the television set 200.
