Abstract:
To provide a washing machine excellent in corrosion prevention performance.SOLUTION: A drum type washing machine 100 includes: a rotary drum 4 which is rotatably provided; a motor 7 which rotationally drives the rotary drum 4 through a rotary shaft 16; bearings 19 and 20 which support the rotary shaft 16; a shaft fixing section which fixes the bottom section of the rotary drum 4 and the rotary shaft 16; a shaft protection section which has corrosion resistance, is arranged closer to the bearing 19 side than the shaft fixing section, and protects the rotary shaft 16; and a seal section which makes watertight between the shaft fixing section and the shaft protection section. The shaft protection section has a substantially cylindrical shape in which a flange is provided at an end on the shaft fixing section side. The seal section is held by the shaft fixing section or the bottom section of the rotary drum 4 and the flange.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
