Abstract:
To provide a washing machine and a washing method that can safely remove engraving residues without containing an inorganic porous body in a photosensitive resin composition.SOLUTION: A washing machine has a transportation tool 13 that holds a flexographic printing plate 41, a first washing tank 11 that washes the flexographic printing plate 41, a second washing tank 12 that washes the flexographic printing plate 41, and a guide that moves the transportation tool to the first washing tank and the second washing tank. A washing method has: a setting step of setting a flexographic printing plate to a transportation tool; a first washing step of moving the transportation tool along a guide and removing a surface layer of the plate in a first washing tank; a second washing step of moving the transportation tool along the guide and washing an inner layer of the plate in a second first washing tank; and an extracting step of moving the transportation tool along the guide and removing the flexographic printing plate from the transportation tool.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
