To provide a washing machine capable of generating an adequate amount of mist in a short time regardless of the characteristic of individual ultrasonic transducers.
Control frequency to a vibrating unit 70 is reduced by every 35 Hz from the upper limit side of a high-frequency side, and increased by every 500 Hz in every 50 msec (steps S109 to S111) toward the upper limit value of the high-frequency side when a horn current Id becomes 350 mA (YES in step S107), and the control frequency is gradually shifted from the upper limit value of the high-frequency side to the low-frequency side by every 35 Hz again in a step S101 to a step S108 after evacuation of 100 msec when the control frequency reaches the upper limit value of the high-frequency side (YES in step S110) in the dry mist process of a drying step. That is, the control current is raised with the proviso that the horn current becomes the predetermined first current value in the dry mist process.
