To provide a laundry machine and a washing/drying machine which can determine without mistake a cloth amount even if damp washing is mixed, and do not waste a detergent amount and supply water.
The laundry machine and the washing/drying machine are equipped with an outer tub for storing washing water and rinsing water, an inner tub which stores washing and is rotatably placed in the outer tub, an agitating blade rotatably placed in the inner tub, and a vector controlled motor for rotatably driving the agitating blade and the inner tub and determine the amount of washing (cloth amount) from a q axis current value which performs vector control of the motor. A plurality of determining tables for determining the cloth amount from the q axis current value are provided. Responding to the fluctuation width of the q axis current value when driving the motor at a prescribed number of rotation, the cloth amount is determined using a determining table selected from a plurality of determining tables.
