PURPOSE: To execute washing with lukewarm water without spoiling the delicate washing by hot water supply, and also, to improve the performance of a pump by deflating the inside of a drain pump.
CONSTITUTION: Cold water and hot water from a cold water supply valve 21 and a hot water supply valve 22 are mixed in a mixing/supply part 20 and supplied to a washing water tank 10, and used washing water is drained by a drain pump 15. It is allowed to branch from a drain passage 17 side of the drain pump 15, and connected to the mixing/supply part 20 in a bypass passage 23 through a changeover valve 18. This washing machine is provided with a temperature detecting part 25 for controlling a temperature of supplied washing water, a water level detector 28 for detecting a water level of the washing water tank 10, and a control part for controlling a washing process. When the water level becomes a reference water level by supplying water to the washing water tank 10, a control circuit is operated by the water level detector 28, the drain pump 15 is driven and the washing water in the washing water tank 10 is allowed to circulate through the mixing/supply part 20, and also, at the mixing/supply part 20, cold water, hot water and circulating water are mixed and supplied to the washing water tank 10.
