Abstract:
To provide a washing machine suited for washing of even delicate materials, in which laundry is washed by moving a washing tub up and down inside an outer tub to produce a stream of water, without causing twisting of the laundry in the washing tub.
In the washing machine, the washing tub is formed inside the outer tub and water is injected into the outer tub to do washing. The washing tub having an opening in its top is provided with a laundry holding means for preventing the laundry in the washing tub from being ejected out of the washing tub, and the washing tub is moved up and down inside the outer tub by use of a drive to cause circulation of water in the outer tub to wash the laundry.
