A washing machine doing the laundry using hot water in a water tank, comprises: a circulation air passage having an inlet and an outlet connected to the water tank; an air blower provided in the circulation air passage, for circulating air in the water tank through the circulation air passage; a drying heater provided in the circulation air passage, for heating air in the circulation air passage; and control means for controlling the air blower and the drying heater. The control means supplies power to the drying heater to heat it when hot water is used.
