A washing machine comprises: a rotatable washing tub 84; a drive part for allowing the washing tub 84 to drive rotationally; a vibration detecting part 93 for detecting the vibration state of an outer tank 83; a controlling part for controlling the washing machine based on the output of the vibration detecting part 93; a water spraying part 103 for spraying a washing water into the washing tub 84; and a laundry position discriminating part for discriminating a position of laundry 36 in the washing tub 84, in which the controlling part rotationally drives the washing tub 84 by controlling the driving part based on a determined result of the laundry position discriminating part, thereby adjusting the position of the laundry 36 in the washing tub 84 when spraying washing water by the water spraying part 103.
