Abstract:

To provide a washing machine capable of suppressing the power consumption in a time zone when the power demand and supply is in a tight condition.

If information on power demand and supply of a power supply source obtained from an outside should be in the same condition as a prescribed condition or in a less tight condition compared to the prescribed condition (step S6), a washing machine implements a standard mode for implementing washing operation or drying operation in a prescribed scheme (step 10); and if power demand and supply should be in tight condition compared to the prescribed condition (step S6), the washing machine implements a power saving mode that performs any one operation of peak cut operation that operates washing or drying in a power consumption lower than the standard mode or peak shift operation that temporarily stops washing or drying (steps S7 to S15).
