Abstract:
To perform sterilization by efficiently bringing the inside of a tub into a high-temperature, high-humidity environment.SOLUTION: A washing machine comprises: a drum 3 rotatably provided in a water tub 2; a motor 7 rotationally driving the drum 3; a water supply valve 9 supplying water into the water tub 2; a drain valve 13 draining water in the water tub 2; an air passage 18 connected to and communicated with a blowout port 16 and an intake port 17 each provided in the water tub 2; an air blowing fan 19 blowing air to the water tub 2 through the air passage 18; a warm air heater 20 heating the air blowen to the water tub 2 by the air blowing fan 19 to generate warm air; a steam generation part 21 generating steam to be supplied to the water tub 2; and a control part 38 controlling a washing operation. In a tub washing operation performing washing of the water tub 2 and the drum 3, the control part 38 supplies the warm air heated by the warm air heater 20 and the steam which has generated in the steam generation part 21 to the water tub 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
