Abstract:
To provide a washing machine having a simple configuration, of which washing tank can be sanitarily maintained.SOLUTION: A washing machine 10 comprises a washing tank 20 including a water tank 30 and a rotary tub 40 rotatably disposed in the water tank 30, a water supply part 82 for supplying water into the water tank 30, a heater for heating water supplied into the water tank 30, a temperature sensor for detecting the temperature of water heated by the heater, a storage part that can store water supplied through a water supply part 82 to submerge the heater in water, and a control part 110 for performing a maintenance operation to rotate the rotary tub 40 while heating the water stored in the storage part with the heater. The washing machine 10 prevents formation and growth of mold through approximately uniform increase in the inner temperature and humidity of the washing tank 20 through the maintenance operation, so that the washing tank 20 can be sanitarily maintained. The control part 110 automatically performs the maintenance operation at a predetermined timing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
