To provide a washing machine performing water recycling and excellent in practicality, operability or safety, or to provide a hygienic washing machine performing water recycling.
A control section 55 controls so as to supply tap water to an outer tub 5 instead of water in a tank 4 when purification of water accumulated in the tank 4 is not completed, when purified water is less than a specified amount, or when abnormality occurs in supplying the purified water to the outer tub 5. In dehydration after a washing process, the control section 55 controls so as to discharge water accumulated in the tank 4 and not supplied to the outer tub 5 outside the washing machine for keeping the inside of the tank 4 hygienic. When a specified period of time has passed, water accumulated in the tank 4 is circulated through a circulation passage 32 and the tank 4 for agitating precipitate, and then discharged outside the machine. The control section 55 further controls so as not to perform water supplying to the tank 4 and water purification in order to prevent water leak if abnormality occurs when water in the outer tub 5 is accumulated in the tank 4.
