Abstract:
The washing machine of an embodiment is equipped with a water supply path (9) that connects the inside and the outside of the washing machine tub, a water supply pump (12) that supplies water stored outside of said washing machine tub to the inside of said washing machine tub through said water supply path (9), and a water-purifying device (11) provided in said water supply path (9). The water-purifying device (11) comprises a photocatalyst (19) provided along the direction of water flow in the water supply path (9) and through which the water passes, and an ultraviolet lamp (20) that irradiates ultraviolet light on said photocatalyst (19) and the water passing through said photocatalyst (19).
