PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine which does not cause damages to clothes susceptible to damage, and can wash thoroughly.SOLUTION: The wash machine is so configured that a heater 616 is electrified in a second course, the washing machine including a water tank 540 for storing washing liquid, a housing tank 510 for housing clothes arranged rotatably in the water tank 540 and provided with an opening on a front face or an upper face, a motor 520 for driving the housing tank, and the heater 616 for heating the washing liquid stored in the water tank 540, and having a standard course set as a default, a first course in which the operation rate of the motor is lower than that of the standard course, and the second course in which the operation rate of the motor is higher than that of the first course.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
