PURPOSE: To shorten a selecting time and provide a proper level of water for a washing volume by providing a control means for judging a washing volume from the wave form condition of pulsating component detection by a pulsating signal 1 detecting means to command the level of water according to the washing volume.
CONSTITUTION: A control panel 6 provided with a panel operating keys 5 is provided on the upper surface of a main body 1 and an electronic circuit unit 7 is provided beneath the panel. The electronic circuit unit 7 is provided with a pulsating signal detecting circuit 8 as a pulsating signal detecting means for detecting pulsating signal components generated in the output signal of a pressure sensor 3 and a microcomputer 10 or the like as a control means. When the output signal reaches L level, a drive command is sent from the microcomputer 10 to a motor 12 to rotate a pulsater and start water pouring and washing. Since then, the signal width of pulsating signal component of the output signal of the pressure 3 and signal components having frequency higher than that of the pulsating signal are detected by the pulsating signal detecting circuit 8.
