To provide a washing method for tableware improving storage property of various types of dishes and reliably and efficiently removing dirt from the dishes by stabilizing attitude of the dishes.
The washing method for tableware comprises: a tableware storage device 14 that includes supports 22, 23, 33, and 34 for supporting stacked dishes, position regulation members 17, 28, 16, and 27 for regulating the dishes located at a forefront side and a rearmost side, and a partitioning position-regulation member 38 for partitioning the dishes between the position regulation members and that stores the dividedly stored dishes in such a manner as freely moving along the stacked direction and freely changing the attitude within a prescribed range; conveying means 2 for moving the tableware storage device; and nozzles 10 and 11 for jetting wash water. The washing method includes: sequentially jetting wash water to the dishes dividedly stored in a front side by moving the tableware storage device by the conveying means; then, sequentially jetting the wash water to the dishes dividedly stored in the rear side; separating mutually adjacent dishes for each dividedly stored dish; and washing the dishes by the wash water flowing in a separated clearance.
