Abstract:

To determine the leakage of a refrigerant vaporized by waste heat from a combustion engine, in a Rankine cycle system.

This waste heat recovery device 1 includes a refrigerant passage 3 circulated with a refrigerant vaporized by the waste heat of an engine body 2, a waste heat recovery part 50 for recovering energy from the vaporized refrigerant, an O2-sensor 10 included in the refrigerant passage 3, arranged in a vapor flow-through part 3a with the vaporized refrigerant passed therethrough, and for detecting the presence of outside air, and an ECU 11, and the ECU 11 determines the leakage of the refrigerant from the refrigerant passage 3 based on a detection value from the O2sensor 10.
