PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste paper processing device that allows a user to easily grasp the time to stop the operation.SOLUTION: There is provided a waste paper processing device 1 comprising a waste paper storage section 24 for storing waste paper 10, a measurement section 25 for measuring the amount of the waste paper 10 stored in the waste paper storage section 24, a reproduction processing section for carrying out the reproduction processing of the waste paper 10 stored in the waste paper storage section 24, and a control section 8 for controlling the operation of the individual sections. The control section 8 includes an automatic control functional unit 816 for sequentially carrying out the processes from the beginning to the end of an operation, a stop-time calculation functional unit 832 for calculating the time when the operation is to be stopped by the automatic control functional unit 816 according to the value measured by the measurement section 25, and a stop-time notifying functional unit 837 for notifying the time when the operation is to be stopped.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
