Abstract:
To suppress blocking of a pipe even when a polyester resin such as polyethylene terephthalate is contained in a waste plastic as a raw material, and can continuously decompose the waste plastic and produce reclaimed oil.SOLUTION: An apparatus for converting a waste plastic into oil is an apparatus having a thermal decomposition iron pot for thermally decomposing a waste plastic containing a polyester resin and producing decomposition gas, and a condenser for cooling and liquefying the decomposition gas obtained in the thermal decomposition iron pot, and obtaining reclaimed oil. The waste plastic is supplied to the thermal decomposition iron pot, a reflux tower is provided above the thermal decomposition iron pot, the reflux tower has a line for feeding the decomposition gas coming out from its head part to the condenser and is provided with a drawing-out line of drawing out a part of the decomposition gas from the middle of the reflux tower and is provided with a separation tank for feeding the decomposition gas drawn out from the drawing-out line, and the separation tank separates a polycarboxylic acid derived from a polyester resin contained in the fed decomposition gas.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
