Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste treating apparatus capable to effictively preventing the retention and solidification of molten slag generated by incinerating in a melting furnace for forming a plasma space.
SOLUTION: The carton accommodating waste therein is introduced into the melting space of a melting furnace body 51, incinerated at a high temperature, and the molten slag of fluid state generated in this manner is discharged from the discharge port 51b of the lower part of the body 51 out of the body 51. To this end, a crucible 51e for storing the slag is formed at the lower part of the space, a plasma torch 55c is mounted in the mounting hole 51h of the position of the body 51 slightly above the crucible 51e, a plasma arc is generated from the torch 55c toward the crucible 51e, and a gas suction port 51g for constituting a suction mechanism V for sucking the hightemperature exhaust gas in the space is formed at the side of a tube 51f connected to the port 51b.
