To prevent clogging in diffuser pipes and diffuser pores and the shrinkage of passages, to simplify the constitution and to attain the energy saving.
The waste water treatment equipment is provided with a treatment tank 1 which stores water 3 to be treated, a separation membrane part 4 which is immersed in the water 3 to be treated in the treatment tank 1, a diffuser pipe 5 having a plurality of diffuser pores 6 which is located on the lower side of the separation membrane part 4 and eject air and an air supply means 8 which is communicated with the diffuser pipe 5. Therein, when the air supply from the air supply means 8 to the diffuser pipe 5 is stopped, the inside of the diffuser pipe 5 is filled with displacing water 21, thereby, the flowing of the water 3 to be treated into the diffuser pipe 5 is suppressed and the clogging of the diffuser pipe 5 and the diffuser pores 6 and the shrinkage of passages is prevented. Moreover, a high pressure supply means of air or liquid and a switching mechanism of diffuser pores are made unnecessary, so that the simplification of the constitution and the energy saving can be realized.
