Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently treat waste water containing calcium and nitrogen. SOLUTION: The waste water containing the calcium and the nitrogen is subjected to nitrification treatment in a fixed bed nitrification vessel 6 and is then subjected to denitrification in a USB denitrification vessel 7. Since the waste water containing the calcium is low in the content of phosphorus, phosphoric acid is supplied from a phosphoric acid storage tank 12 to the waste water. The phosphorus is supplied independently to the waste water to the fixed bed nitrification vessel 6 and the waste water to the USB denitrification vessel 7. The phosphorus may be thereby supplied by as much as the needed amounts to the respective vessels. More particularly, the generation of scale by the excessive supply of the phosphorus to the fixed bed nitrification vessel 6 may be prevented.
