Abstract:
PURPOSE: To watch the end-breakage of a hollow fiber in a production line with a small-sized device by watching the state of the hollow fiber in a coagulation bath with a monitoring camera containing built-in data-processing system and comparing the processed data with standard data.
CONSTITUTION: A hollow fiber bundle 7 is produced by collecting a specific number of hollow fibers 6. A coagulation bath 3 of the production line of the hollow fiber bundle 7 is provided with a monitoring camera 8 capable of picking up the state of a hollow fiber 6 in the coagulation bath 3 as an image. The picked image data is amplified with an amplifier 9 in the camera 8 digitized by a TTL buffer 10. The number of hollow fibers in the coagulation bath B is counted by a counter 11 based on the signal transmitted from the buffer 10. The count data is stored as a standard data by latch 12 and the successively transmitted data of the number of the hollow fibers in the coagulation bath is compared with the standard data by a comparator 13. An alarm is given when abnormality is found on the comparison result.
